Press Releases

It took me many years of practice to develop separate writing styles for magazine articles and press releases. I tended to over-research and over-write press releases when I started working in Charlotte Motor Speedway’s public relations department in April 1995. Thanks to the tutelage of bosses Eddie Gossage and later Jerry Gappens, I eventually got the hang of it.

Even after leaving my full-time speedway employment in 2001, I kept producing press material for its annual car shows. This page has links to some of that output, categorized by year. This is only a tiny fraction of what I've produced for press material. I hope to add to fill it in later.
